About us : We are a "small" family located in the north of Norway. We have a small prefix/cattery. And all of our cats lives inside with us. The girls have their own big run outside, and the boys have a separate small run all to them selves. My name is Monica, and im the owner of this prefix, and the constant adder of animals to the family. Kjetil,is my love in life, and he tries to hold me back concerning adding new additions to the family, but he`s also the loving caretaker of our kittens. Imre,is my oldest son. Now 11 years. Loovs all the cats, and there is always a cat or kitten sleeping in his bed. Sindre is 6 years, and "all over the place"..... Loves the cats, but dont want them in his bed :-) He carrys the kittens around all the time. Getting them well used to all sorts of handling;-) We have also decided to include some loving people in the care of our breed cats. As we belive all cats deserve A LOT of love, attention and care, some of our breed cats don`t live at home. They live with their own loving families. We are so happy to have thees people in our, and our cats lives. Thank you to Camilla and Jerd, Sonja and Yvonne with their families for giving our cats a loving home.
How it started : My first introduction to Maine Coons was a pure "accident"...At a cat show in Oslo in 98, i got to hold a big, brown tabby male...And was immideatly sold. The Abysinnian cat i had on hold was cancelled. And the search for a Maine Coon started. Sadly i had to wait over 2 yars for my first coon...But it was worth it. Actually it was Kjetil who found our first coon, online. And after looking at the picture of the kitten, i was SOLD! We drove to Bodø, and our first coon came into our life. StoneCoons Diesel was EWRYTHING a coon should be. We are happy to have his Grand, And now grate grand son in our cattery. We got our prefix in 2003, along with our first litter. The name Zimiccos is a mix of names. But is mostly dedicated to our beloved house cat, Zucko, We Will Miss You!!!! And It`s also dedicated to my two kids. They are my life!
